View of the famous mountain top Wetterhorn in Switzerland by one of most important Austrian-German Biedermeier landscape artist Johann Fischbach ( 1797 Castle Grefenberg by Krems - 1871 Munich).
He studied at the Vienna Art Academy since 1813 and recieved the Great Prize for his " Idealistic Landscape".In 1825 he travelled through Switzerland and Germany . In 1837 he lived in Rome, since 1840 he settled in Salzburg and since 1860 - in Munich. He created famous landscape series "Views of Salzburg and Upper Austria" and " Trees of Germany".
