Coastal scene in Pegli in the Ligurian Riviera by Genua was executed in 1882 by very good listed and high-quoted Italian-Austrian landscape artist Robert Alott (1850 Graz - 1910 Vienna). He studied at the Vienna Art Academy (1868-1873) , travelled and long time lived in Italy and was acknowledged as renown landscape and cityscape painter. Since 1891 he lived in Vienna and exhibited his meditteranian and italian views in Austrian Artist Union.

Inscription: signed and dated 1882 lower right , on the back is antique label in French : Peglie de Ponente ( in Italian: Pegli di Ponente)
