Art Nouveau still life with flowers was executed in the early 20th century by listed Czech painter Frantisek X.Diblik (b.1887). He studied at the Prague Academy under H.Schwaigra and untertook a study travel to Italy. From 1925 Diblik fraquently exhibited in Pargue.

The artist is listed in: Dr.Prokop Toman, Dictionary of Czech Painters, Prague, 1947.

Inscription: signed F.X.Diblik and dated 1916, lower right.
