Flower still life by Franz Seghers (or Segers), born in Brussels in 1849 and died in 1939. He was a Belgian portrait painter, painter of flowers and fruits and painter decorator.Pupil at the drawing school of Ixelles, Émile Bouilliot and Jean-Baptiste Meunier and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, then Jean-Paul Laurens in Paris in 1882, he participated in numerous exhibitions and at the triennial trade fairs in Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp and Liège. He exhibits in Paris, Chicago, Barcelona.He is one of the founding members of the L´Essor group.
