Nature composition with a basket of raspberries, scattered roses and a bee was executed in 1868 by 19th-century French painter Josef Lecosty, who was chiefly known as a flower still-life painter (see our additional images ).

Inscription: signed and dated 1868 lower left.

Technique: oil on canvas, original period gold-plated frame.

Measurements: w 28 1/3" x h 37" (46,5 x 40 cm) , h 40 1/3" x h 51 1/8" (59,5 x 52 cm).

Condition: in very good condition.
