First a farmhand, then a soldier, a kind of mintrope; turned to art through Professor Rhomberg and soon became one of Schraudolph´s best students, despite its slow productivity, but in terms of shape and color. In particular, he had a flowing beauty of the lines and a classic purity of sensation. He moved in the small circle of the lyrical devotional picture, but also had an open eye for the landscape. His most excellent oil paintings include a “St. Family ”(dated 1855, probably indentical to our painting)“ Madonna and Child with Johannes ”(bought in 1856 by King Ludwig I for the art museum New Pinakothek in Minich ),“ St. Magdalena ”(1858) etc. A large Carton:“ The Schyren family hands over their ancestral castle to the Benedictines ”, was carried out by Munsch in Fresco for the Wittelsbach Museum, since Huber had already died on February 25, 1863 of a lung disease.
