Gandria on Lugano Lake is the last Swiss village before the Italian border. The mountain peaks opposite the residential area are already on Italian soil, but the village center at their feet still belongs to Switzerland: it is the Cantine di Gandria, where the inhabitants used to store wine, sausages and cheese in a cool place.
