Austrian distance landscape with farmers on the foreground was executed by famous Austrian landscape artist Josef Thoma (1828 Vienna - 1899 Vienna) , who studied at the Vienna Academy and became a very well-known Austrian landscape painter with motifs especially from the Alpine region. Works by him belong to the collections of the greatest Austrian museums and various public collections abroad.
