Alpine landscape with peasant houses on the rock was executed in the middle of 19th century and due to the fully identical style and composition it was atteibuted to famous Czech Romanticism landscape Painter of 19th century August Friedrich Piepenhagen (1791 Prussia - 1864 Praque). The associating migration led him to Switzerland, where the impressive landscape suggested him to auto+didactical mark attempts. 1831 he came to Prague, where he should remain in the future. First exhibitions and his marrying in Prague followed. Piepenhagen had to do time of his life to nourish his family although he could sell a great many of his landscapes. His two daughters Charlotte and Louise were likewise trained of him as painters. Piepenhagen died on the property Generalka with Prague. He was buried on the protestant cemetery of the Prager suburb Karolinenthal. His grave was arranged of the sculptor Thomas Seidan. Landscapes by Piepenhagen , which were romantic and tendencyful arranged, enjoyed with the Prager public of large popularity. His paintings were collected proper, were not however also very expensive with the purchase. Adalbert Stifter , even also landscape painter, estimated Piepenhagen extraordinary and meant, he was " the poetry-fullest landscape painter , which I know now." Piepenhagen´s landscape works arrive by international auctions remarkable prices to 30000 Euro.
