Humorfully genre scene with village domino players was executed ca. 1840-1850 by listed Austrian genre, decoration and flower painter Friedrich Sturm (1822 Vienna - 1898 Weissenbach by Triesting). Father of the painter Georf Sturm. The artist studied by his father , the porcelain and email painter , later studied at the Viennese Academy. He took study travels to Serbia and Hungary, where he worked as fresco painter in the Kathrdral of Raab. From 1853 to 1859 he exhibited in Vienna and from 1868 to 1892 he was teacher at the Viennese Arts and Craft school. Since 1861 the member of the Viennese artist Union Kuenstlerhaus.
