Masterful marine painitng with sailing vessels created in 1929 by famous german seascape painter and illustrator Alexander(Alex) Kircher ( 1867 Triest - 1939). He was as sea cadet by marine and after foot wounding began to study as painter at the Art Academy in Berlin by F.Sturm, W.Friedrich , undertook study travells around Europe , Orient and North America.In 1898 he decorated the world exhibition in Chicago. In the time of WWI he worked as illustrator for german and austrian news papers and magazines , created a lot of battle scenes for austrian -hungarian and german military fleet. He lived a short time in Vienna and then in Dresden, where he was a member of Artist Union.His seascapes and marine battle painitngs are in the collection of New Technical Museum in Vienna , in Marine museum in Berlin , 24 works were in estate of austrian Imperator Franz Joseph.
