Still life with grapes and flowers was executed by French painter Matthieu Kohler (1841 Niederbronn/Wasgau, Alsace - 1916 Fribourg). Pupil of Art School in Lyon, worked in Mühlhausen. Exhibited in 1877-1878 at the Paris Salon. Works by Köhler are in the museum of Mühlhausen.
