“Summer Evening“ (Original artist‘s title), this large painting was executed in 1993 by prominent Soviet and Russian painter Nikolay Nikolaevitch Solomin (born 1940 in Moscow), Professor, Soviet and Russian painter, teacher. Art Director of the Studio of Military Artists named after M. Grekov in 1989-1997. the artist was born Born October 18, 1940 in Moscow, in the family of the National Artist of the RSFSR N. K. Solomin. He studied at MSHSH.
In the years 1959-1969 he studied at MGHI them. V.I. Surikov (workshop of Professor V.G. Tsyplakov).In 1969, together with his fellow student, later the national artist of the Russian Federation, V. B. Tautiev, he started working in the Studio of Military Artists named after M. Grekov.
In 1995-2000 - performed the paintings of the restored Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
Since 2005, the head of the personal workshop of battle-painting at the Moscow State Academic Arts Institute named after V.I. Surikov.
Awards: Order of Friendship of Peoples; Order of St. Sergius of Radonezh, II degree; People´s Artist of the RSFSR - 1991. Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts (2007; corresponding member 2001). Folk Artist of the RSFSR (1991). Winner of the State Prize of the RSFSR in the field of architecture (1981). Colonel of the USSR Armed Forces.
