A pair of portraits was executed in 1850 and depicts young siblings from the family Kraus : brother Sigismund in the Austrian military uniform, 13 year old and his older sister Elisabeth, 18 years old (due to the inscriptions on the backsides of this paintings). The author of both paintings - Austrian portrait and genre painter of Czech origin Johann Nejebse (1810 Budniau-Karlstein in Bohemia - 1856 Baden by Vienna). His works are very rare in the art market. He studied at the Viennese Fine Art Academy and since 1835 to 1839 exhibited by academically exhibitions.
