High quality large miniature portrait on ivory of a young beautiful lady in a interieur . It was executed in 1822 in the style of renowned French miniaturist Louis-Frainçois Aubry (1767 - Paris - 1851 ) by a represantative of French school, signed Lassimonne. Despite the high quality of this miniature, we are not able to find the artist’s biography in our dictionaries, but due to the high quality of this miniature and daté of creation the author is the artist from the circle of Aubry./P>

Provenance: noble private collection in Nice/South France.

Inscription: signed and dated „ Lassimonne, 1822“ lower right.

Technique: gouache on ivory. Original period frame with inner gilt bronze oval mount.

Measurements: unframed w 4 3/8" x h 5 3/8" (11,2 x 13,7 cm), framed w 7" x h 8 3/8" (17,6 x 21,2 cm).

Condition: in good original condition.
