Animalistic painting with a fox a two hares was executed by famous German animal and landscape painter Anton Weinberger (1843 Munich - 1912 Wiesbaden). The artist studied since 1860 in the Art Academy in Munich, worked as teacher for drawing in Leipzig and St. Petersburg (1872), later studied in Berlin by Paul Meyerheim. In 1884 he lived in Vienna , where he worked as court painter (dog portraits), then until 1888 in Munchen, bis 1902 - in Wiesbaden. His works situated in the various noble collections among others in the castle to Gera, hunting castle Hummelshain by Kahla, museums of Mainz and Wiesbaden.
