Romantically landscape with a stream somewhere in the Austrian or Bavarian Alps was executed in 1885 by listed German landscape and marine artist Antonio Julius Karl Rose (1828 Koenigsbrueck by Dresden - 1911 Munich). Worked in Munich , travelled Bavarian Alps and Adriatic coast, from where he took his landscape and seascape motives ( he signed this works with A(ntonio) Rose and few pseudonyms . . His works situated in Luebeck Behn-Haus; in the Palace Hamilton in Baden-Baden and Louis Juencke Collection .

Inscription: signed and dated (18)85, lower left, on the back of the stretcher is old label with artist‘s dates in Italian.
Technique: oil on canvas. Splendid antique frame.
