According to the manner of painting and time of creation we attribute our detailed genre scene to Dutch portrait and genre painter Reinier de la Haye (1640-after 1695). Ou attribution was confirmed by experts of Viennese Dorotheum and experts of Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie, The Hague , Holland (e-mails on 13.07.17).
He studied in the Hague under Adr.Hanneman and from 1669 was a member of St.Lucas Guild in Utrecht and in 1672 became a member of St.Lucas Guild in Antwerpen.His genre scenes and portraits are not far from similar works by Caspar Netscher ( who was in the same time by the Haque Guild ) and G. ter Borch.

Technique: oil on board. Gold-plated baroque style frame.
Measurements: unframed w 12 1/2" x h 15" (32 x 38 cm), framed w 17 1/2" x h 20" (44.5 x 51 cm)
Condition: in good condition, thin fine craquelures due to age, old minor inpaintings in the background and under the table.
