A pair of masterfully classical still lifes with flowers in glass vases was executed in 1823 by listed Viennese flower painter and porcelain artist Franz Hirschler ( before 1765 - Vienna- 1834). He is represanted in two important artist lexicons, but exact date of his birth is unknown. In 1780 he entered the Viennese Porcelain Manufacture as flower painter, where he worked till 1834. He became a range of Upper Painter (in German: Obermaler) in 1816. From him is crockery with cornflowers in the Archduke Rainer Museum, Brno and a potpourrivase with floral decoration, around 1780, in the Austrian Museum Vienna. From him also known flower paintings in oil. So an oil painting, bouquet in vase, fully signed and dated in 1830, is located in Vienna's private ownership.
