This landscape painting with children in the meadow was executed in 1916 by good listed Hungarian painter and graphic designer Ágost Bayor (1892 - Esztergom - 1958). He graduated from 1910 to 1916 in the Academy of Fine Arts, where he was the master of Viktor Olgyai. In 1920-21, he was further trained in Zemplényi Tivadaran. He made several studies in Italy (1923, 1927). He taught for several years at the Benedictrose Gymnasium in Esztergom, in 1923 he moved to Budapest, his studio was on the Kelenhegyi road. he made also Ex-Libris and graphics of members of his circle of friends. In the 1930, he worked on religious subjects and made some frescoes on order. Later, however, they were washed out in the wall. In 1927 he participated in a collection exhibition in the National salon. He was member of the group of Friends of Babits. During World War II, he participated in the battles on the Eastern Front. In 1947 he moved back to his hometown in 1954 with his works at the same exhibition.

He also painted naturalist portraits and landscapes, as well as watercolors and etchings. . His works are located in the National Gallery of Budapest, at the Bálint Museum in Esztergom, in Hungary, and in the Herman Otto Museum in Miskolc.

Condition: in good condition, professionally cleaned and retouched in two unimportant areas, accordingly two patches on the back of the canvas.
