A large landscape painting within luxuriosy original period frame, created in ca.1880 by austrian listed painter Fritz Chwala (1836-1900). The artist worked in Austrian Alps in 1880-1900 and was popular with his mountains- and lake views . He listed in the " Austrian Artists of 19 century" by Prof.H.Fuchs,Vienna, 1975.

Inscription: signed lower right, verso old inscription in german (see photo) " From Werfer(?) Lake"

Technique: oil on canvas. Luxuriousy gold-plated original period frame

Measurements: unframed w 39" x h 29 1/4" (99 x 74 cm), framed 56 1/4" x 46 1/2" (143 x 118 cm)

Condition: in very good condition, no retouchings , canvas is not relined.
