Art Nouveau portrait of a girl in the ancient dress and hair decoration wasexecuted by good listed Austrian portrait, genre and landscape painter John Quinc Adams ( 1874 -Vienna - 1933). He studied at the Viennese Academy under S. l´Allemand and A. Eisenmenger, then in Munich Academy under Marr and Herterich and finely in Paris at the Academy Julian by J.B. Lauren’s and Benjamin Constant. He was mainly portrait and genre painter and as a portraitist particularly popular in the commercial circles of Vienna. His main works include "Dead prayer in the Teauerhaus Vollesdam", Holland (1903), "Portrait of the artist´s wife", A triptych with Dutch motif (1905). The latter painting was awarded with the Great Golden State Medal in Vienna in 1906.
