Masterfully study of laid Turkey was executed by Austrian landscape, still life and portrait painter Rojka Friedrich (Fritz)(Vienna 1878 - Vienna 1939). Son of a innkeeper; First came to a landscape painter in the teachings; In 1896 – 98 and 1904 – 08 he studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts ( by Griepenkerl, later by Jul.Berger and Fr.Rumpler) and was awarded the special School and the Rome (1908). In 1909 he took a trip to Italy (Rome, Florence and Venice). 1920 member of the Viennese artist´s union "Kuenstlerhaus", in which he had already exhibited from 1908. R. was a silent, rather conservative, painter who did not have any of the short-lived modern art styles. He painted relatively little, but used various themes such as landscapes, still life, genre and portraits. R. was awarded 1926 with the Künstlerhaus Jubilee Prize, 1927 with the golden Medal of Honor of the Künstlerhaus, 1929 with the Rembrandt Prize, 1934 with the Gustav Figdorpreis, 1936 with the State Prize, 1937 with the Dumbapreis. Exhibitions in Vienna: 1919/20, 1927, 1929, 1935, 1937, 1941, 1948, Memory Exhibition in the Kuenstlerhaus in 1950 1950.
