Postimpressionistic landscape created in 1950 by important austrian listed painter , sculptor and graphic artist Günther Baszel ( 1902 Kaschau - 1973 Vienna). Study : 1921-1923 - University of Vienna, 1922 - 1930 - Acad emy of Arts , Vienna , student by Karl Sterrer , Rud.von Larisch. He travelled to Germany , Italy Greece, Egypt. In 1944-45 his Vienna studio was almost completely destroyed. The artist then worked in the Vienna Academy of Applied Arts. G.Baszel was awarded many important prizes, including Grand Prix in Paris in 1937. His works are distinguished by rendering fundamental tectonics of Post-Impressionism. The artist is listed in "Artist Lexicon" by Vollmer I, 1953.
Inscription: signed and dated lower left, on the back - invent. number of vienna artist union "Künstlerhaus".
