Very nice genre painting is executed with great attention to details and charcter by listed Munich portrait and genre painter Otto Kirchner, born 1887. In 1808-1809 he studied in Dusseldorf, later in Italy and in 1912-1914 at the Munich Academy under Feuerstein. From 1918 the artist had been executing mainly genre scenes. Kirchner was a member of Vienna Artists Unit and had numerous exhibitions. The painter is popular for his genre motifs with smokers, monks and cardinals. His works were regularly exhibited in Munich (Glass Palace), they are located in numerous European and American private collections.
