This small but very fine painting depicts a young seller on the bank of river Seine in Paris. It was executed by renown German - French genre and landscape painter Ferdinand Marohn (or Maron or Maronnio). The artist born in Grandsee, Brandenburg/Germany, He took part 1839/1842 at the exhibitions of the Berlin Academy, since 1846 lived in Paris and until 1859 regularly exhibitied in Paris Salon. Paintings by him situated in museums of Potsdam, Reims and Ajaccio.
