A theater design with lady in rococo costume was executed by high-qouted genre, portait painter and illustrator Lucius (Lucio) Rossi (1846 Rome - 1913 Paris). Pupil of the Academy St. Luca in Rome, influenced by Fortuny, lived in Paris since 1867 and worked for publisher house Goupil and Co., Figaro illustre and others.. Our painting was painted by the artist in Paris also (on the reverse of the canvas there is a stamp of a Paris canvas producer ).
