Portrait of a girl with bunch of flowers in a wheat field was executed ca. in 1880s and due to the very close subject and style was attributed to the hand of famous Viennese painter of Historicism epoch Anton Ebert (1845 Mies, Bohemia - 1896 Vienna). Ebert was a very renowned genre and portrait painter, who worked in Vienna in the 2nd half of the 19th century. He studied at the Prague Academy and at the Vienna Academy in the class of the famous F. Waldmüller. This portrait was painted by the artist under influence of his contemorary and founder of Viennese style Historicism Hans Makart (1840 - 1884).
