Sea scene in the Bosphorus with a castle ( probably Rumeli castle) and far view of Istanbul on the background was executed by famous French landscape and marine painter Charles Labord LABOR (1813 - Beziers - 1900). Became in 1859 the Geounder and director of the Museum of Beziers. Exhibited his works since 1839 in the Salon de Paris. Works by him are in The Museum of Beziers, Sete, Narbonne.
