Masterfully study of two dogs was executed ca. in 1830-1840s by a represantative of German or Austrian Biedermeier school. Despite absence of the signature and due to the high quality and identical style and similar composition this work can be created by famous Austrian animale and genre painter Johann Mathias Ranftl (1804 - Vienna - 1854).
