A pair of portraits of old Austrian folk personages with beer mug, as visitors of traditional beer tavern, both portraits were created by famous German-Austrian genre painter and sculptor Johann Michael Kupfer ( 1859 Schwabach - 1917 Vienna). His folk genre scenes in beer taverns and wine "Heuriger" restaurants in Munich and Vienna on the turn of 20th century became very popular among collectors.
