Brilliantly original painting by the best German cat painter Julius Anton Adam, mentioned „Cat Adam “ or "Cat Rembrandt" (1852 - Munich -1913 ). Originated from the famous Munich painter family Adam. But from opposition to this family busy he first with the landscape pictures and worked himself in Rio de Janeiro. Subsequently, he established himself then nevertheless in Munich as a genre painter. Starting from 1882 developed his successful cat paintings. Adam was first pupil of professor Michael Echter (1812-1879) and let afterwards to train further with Wilhelm von Diez (1839-1907) at the Academy of the fine arts in Munich. Some his cat paintings of the same quality and composition as our work arrive by international auctions unprecedented price from 28,000 to 60 000 euros .
