Morning scene at the window with a girl watering flowers was executed in the style of Romanticism and due to the provenance and similarities in the manner was attributed to the Czech genre school of 19th century, probably to the hand of famous Czech painter Karel Purkyne (1834 Wroclaw - 1868 Praque). For comparison see a few works by Purkine with similar motives.

Inscription: unsigned, on the reverse Of original frame - inscription in Czech with the name of previous owner : "ze sbírky Dr. J.Adamek".

Technique: oil on canvas. Original period gilt frame.

Measurements: unframed w 11 3/4" x h 13 1/3" (30 x 34 cm), framed 17" x h 18 1/2" (43 x 47 cm).

Condition: in very good cleaned condition.
