Colorful genre in the wine tavern was executed by German genre painter Alexander Rudolf Grünenwald (1849 Rosenau by Coburg - 1890 Munich). Since 1866 studied at the Munich Art Academy by Strähuber, Anschütz und Diez. He sent works in 1878, 1883 and 1886 to Berlin Academy exhibitions, 1879, 1883 and 1888 - to the Munich Glass Palace, notably with genre scenes in historical costume. Some of his paintings acquired by the Duke of Coburg , on his behalf Grünenwald 1875 made a study trip to England . 2 pictures of him are in the castle galery of the Duke in Gotha.
