This miniature was executed in the middle of 19th century after miniature work by famous German portrait painter and miniaturist Josef Karl Stieler (1781 - 1858). It depicts Helene Sedlmayr from the Beauty-Gallery of King Ludwig I. of Bavaria.

Technique: gouache on ivory, original period gilt frame.

Measurements: unframed w 1 3/4" x h 2 1/4" (4,5 x 5,5 cm); framed w 3" x h 3 3/8" (7,7 x 8,7 cm).

Condition: in good original condition.
