This village landscape was executed in 1954 by one of the most famous and beloved artists of Vyatka province (Russia) Petr Savvovich Vershigorov (1925 - 1998). He studied at the Moscow Surikov State Art Institute, from which he graduated in 1956. Pupils of P.D Pokarzhevsky and Efanov.Honored Artist of Russia. Chairman of the board of the Kirov branch of Union of Artists.Works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Arts in St. Petersburg, Vyatka Art Museum. Annually held in his native village Petropavlovskoe(Vyatka province) the Art festival dedicated to the memory of Peter Savvovich Vershigorov.
