A humorous genre scene was executed in ca. In 1880s by Viennese genre and portrait painter Carl (Karl) Zewy ( 1855 - Vienna -1929).He studied at the Academies in Vienna and Munich and regulary exhibited his works at the Exhibitions of the Viennese artist union Kuenstlerhaus. In 1880s, Zewy was promoted by the art dealer Friedrich Schwarz, for whom he painted many genre paintings. He created book illustrations.
