Early and extremely rare Avant-Gard still life was created ca. in 1920s-1930s by good-listed French painter, illustrator and poster desighner Charles Blanc (1896 Limoges - 1966 Paris). He studied: School of the arts in Limoges and ACAD. Julian in Paris, then self-taught.training. -Painted Portr., landscapes, still life and themat. influenced by the French Romantics such as Eugène Delacroix, theatre - and Bible scenes. Before the 2nd World War was one of sucessfull Cubism painters . In 1920-23 - drawing illustrations for the different news-papers and magazines: L � humanité, L � international, Le Monde. 1933 poster on the topic of peace, ed. the Trade Union C.G.T.. P.: 1964 Grand Prix of Salon du populiste.
His cubist works are very rare on international art market, one of them, "Composition with violin" was sold on 24.04.1997 for 13000 Euro by auction house Butterfiled&Butterfield, Los Angeles, USA.
