Despite the visiable absence of a signature (back cover was never opened) this fine miniature have all stylistic criteria including dress, hair-style and original period framing to be attributed to the Austrian school around 1820.

Technique: Gouache on ivory, original period frame, fire-gilded bronze inside oval frame.

Measurements: image w 2" x h 2 1/2" (5 x 6,5 cm), framed w 4 3/4" x h 5 3/8" (12 x 13,5 cm).
