Portrait of a young Russian beauty Phekla Popoff from the era of Romanticism was executed in 1837 by listed Russian portrait painter Ivan Wolkoff, who studied and worked in St.Petersburg in the middle of 19th century and was awarded the title of extracurricular portrait painter. The watercolour titled and signed by the artist in the French style that was fashionable among the Russian nobility of the time.
