Masterfully Empire French miniature of a young, beautiful lady with a landscape in the background was executed by an anonym artist, dated 3.juillet 1813 on the reverse of the original cover.
Inscription: unsigned, on the back of the cover - original dating in French:" 3. Juillet 1813".
Technique: gouache on ivory, original period wood frame with the fire-plated bronze circle matt.
Measurements: unframed diameter 2 5/8" ( 6.5 cm); framed w 5" x h 5" (12,5 x 12,5 cm).
Condition: in very good condition. |
