This religious painting with Maria and Jesus child was executed in the 19th century in the style of famous Austrian rpainter Franz Russ the Elder (1817 - Vienna - 1892). Franz Russ the Elder, well-known portrait and historical artist, worked in Vienna in 1840-1888, was the father of another Austrian painter Fr.Russ the Younger , he exhibited his works at the exhibitions of St.,Anna Academy since 1845.

Technique: oil on canvas, original period gold-plated frame.

Measurements: unframed w 14 1/2" x h 23 1/4" (47 x 59 cm); framed w 29" x h 33" (73,5 x 84 cm).

Condition: in very good condition, canvas was professional relined.
