Fine Original Art Nouveau work by good listed Austrian genre and historical painter Leo Bernhard Eichhorn (1872 Lemberg/Lviv - 1957 Buenos Aires). Stud: Fine Art Academy Vienna, since 1889 by August Eisenmenger, since 1894 by Kazimierz Pochwalski. 1903 member of the Viennese artist union "Kuenstlerhaus". He recieved The Archduke-Carl-Ludwig-Medall for the triptych Emperor Ferdinand II (1910, Vienna, Hofburg) and become the popular painter of the Court. During World War I about from the beginning of the year 1917 Eichhorn served in the Viennese Infantry Regiment No. 4 "High and German Masters". It was recorded in August as a war artist in the art group of the k.u.k. war press quarters. Its front excursions led him to Transylvania and to the Italian front. In the Nazi time from 1938 in exile in Buenos Aires, renowed artist here, painted especially history paintings and genre scenes with folk Motifs (pilgrimage; Church attendance in the Bukovina region, issued in 1913 from Galicia and Ruthenia. With the Painting The pressed (1908) his HW. in Vienna was sold at auction in 1984.
