Fine portrait miniature of a lady in white dress was executed ca. 1805 and due to the fully identical style was attributed to French portrait painter and miniaturist Jean Baptiste Genty ( 1767 Andonville/Orleans - 1824 Paris). The artist studied by Jacques-Louis David and worked in Paris. He had a atelier in 32 Rue du Faubourg, Montmartre and begun to exhibit since 1799. For comparison see photos of very similar miniature by the same artist, illustrated in the important French monography " Les Peintres en miniaute. 1650-1850" by N. Lemoine-Bouchard, Paris, 2008.
