A pair of Viennese porcelain vases was executed in the late 19th century, has removable lids, dark blue cobalt background, rich decorated with oriignal gold ornaments and hand painted miniature paintings of antique genre scenes after Angelika Kauffmann ( Austrian 1741 - 1807). Each vase have 4 hand-painted miniatures on the front and back sides .

Inscription: apocryphal mark of Altwien on the reverse of vase base.

Technique: porcelain, hand-painted miniatures, cobalt, gold.

Measurements: each: h 22 1/2" (57cm).

Condition: in very good condition.
