Idyllic French river landscape with fishermen was executed in 1855 by good listed French landscape painter Georges Laujol de La Fage ( 1830 Chapelle Saint-Denis - 1858 Paris ). This artist, who can be placed side by Corot and Daubigny, unfortunately died very young and did not leave after his death of a lot of works. Therefore, our river landscape - one of the few rare exemples , that have survived to the present judges of painting, especially as it is written in the same style as landscapes of his contemporaries Corot and Daubigny.The artist studied by N.Diaz de la Pena and exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1853-1857, honorable mention in 1857.
