This is a second part of the collection of 4 miniatures ( for other see item No. 3283, 3285, 3286). Actual work is portrait miniature of a young nobleman from the famous Swabian noble family, probably second son of Karl August Emanuel Leutrum von Ertingen (* 1732, † 1795), Sardinian royal treasurer, general-lieutenant and head of regiment, was elevated on 19 March 1781 by Victor Amadeus III., King of Sardinia, to the rank of count. His sons founded two count lines that were settled in Württemberg (sitter of miniature, item no. 2167) and Silesia.This masterfully miniature on ivory was executed ca. in 1790-1800 by good listed Viennese miniature painter Nanette Rosenzweig - Windish. She studied by well-renowed miniature and portrait painter H.F.Füger at the Viennese Academy, and worked in Vienna from 1790s to 1820s. She created miniature portraits of famous noble families in Germany , Austria, Poland and Russia (including portraits of Napoleon II, Baron Stroganoff, M.K.Oginski) and her miniatures situated in the State Musesum (painting gallery) in Berlin,National Museum in Warshaw, in Academy in Vienna and in the best private miniature collections: Tansey, Dr. E. Ullmann, Baroness Exterde, L.Emele and others.Provenance: Viennese private estate.

Inscription: signed lower right , on the reverse inscribed in German about the author and sitter: "gemalt von Nanette Rosenzweig, Wien, Juni 1800" and additonally"Leutrum".(see add.photo).
