This extremely fine family watercolour was exhibited at the exhibition by St.Anna, took place in Viennese Albertina museum in 1924 (illustrated in the cataloque). The author of this work is very renowed miniature and portrait painter Laurent A. Gruenbaum (ca.1760 Haslau by Eger - 1852 ibidem) . He was born in the Jewish family, worked in Vienna and exhibited in 1828 at the Academy there. For some time he worked in Duchy of Hessen for the Elector William II, in 1831 was active in Denmark. Together with Moritz Daffinger he was one of the most favorite portrait miniaturists of the Austrian high society.
