Fine drawing portraying a young woman was executed by listed Austrian portrait and landscape painter as well as etcher Konrad Meindl (1883 Vienna - 1970 Linz). He studied first at the Vienna Academy under S.l´Allemand and Franz Rumpler and from 1910 through 1913 in Paris under J.P.Laurens, Simon, Cotter and Blanche. During this Parisian period was created the offered drawing. In 1913 Meindl travelled to Spain, Marocco, Italy and Germany. In 1928 he worked in the USA. While in Paris, he met Pablo Picasso and became his friend for many years. In 1933 Meindl was awarded a prize of City Vienna, he was a member of the "March" - Artists Unit in Linz and of the Vienna Artists Union.
