Monumental landscape painting with a waterfall in the Alpine forest was executed by good listed German painter and lithographer Arnold Schulten (1809 - Duesseldorf - 1874). He studied st the Duesseldorf Academy under Joh. Wilh.. Shirmer (1822-1849), worked in Duesseldorf. His landscapes are represanted in the German monogrphy "Royal Fine Art Academy in Duesseldorf", 1856 and in the artist dicitionary by F.v. Boetticher "Malerwerke des 19. Jahrhunderts", 1901.
